WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

We continue our annual 30 for 30 countdown with the team’s top 30 players who played 30 or more reps. Check out our latest player on the countdown: No. 12 James Brockermeyer. He’s a TCU center transfer who should be an excellent replacement for Zach Carpenter.

In recruiting?

There’s a new On3 RPM prediction in for a future Miami Hurricane from Stephen Wagner, so don’t miss that.

More updates for you:

Nashville (Tenn.) Donelson Christian Academy four-star 2026 tight end Carson Sneed committed to Tennessee last September, but that didn’t keep Miami from stopping by his school Monday for an in-person visit before the start of the February dead period next week. Find out what he’s saying about that and where things stand.

Also getting a visit was Auburn (Ala.) four-star linebacker JaMichael Garrett, who had Miami coordinator Corey Hetherman stop by. Find out about that.

On Tuesday, Lakesville (Miss.) Green County four-star wide receiver Jase Mathews added an offer from the Miami Hurricanes, which came as a bit of a surprise. Then yesterday Canes wide receiver coach Kevin Beard visited the 2026 prospect who feels wanted in Miami.

And Cristobal and Hetherman stopped by for a visit to see Douglasville (Ga.) Douglas County four-star 2027 offensive tackle Joshua Sam-Epelle. Don’t miss his thoughts.

There’s also an update on Anaheim (Ca.) Servite 2026 receiver Luke Sorensen, who is getting a visit from Miami coaches this week.

We catch up with Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star tight end Mark Bowman as well. He has now reclassified to the 2026 class and named the Canes as one of his top programs.

Plus there’s an update with Cocoa (Fla.) four-star 2026 safety Clifton “CJ” Hester you don’t want to miss.

There was Miami’s basketball team falling in another game, this time against Virginia, and we have your recap of that.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Razor thin margin in 2025 … Posted by jc2canes4life

Does the season come down to the last game on the road again? Not going to be a popular opinion but I could see us losing 3-4 games. That doesn’t mean we will be a bad team but our margin for error is going to be razor thin in some of these games.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

Miami Hurricanes
4-star 2026 TE commit Carson Sneed

“(The in-school visit) went great. Coach Woodiel, we sat down and we talked about what it looks like to be a tight end in the Miami offense and what he would expect from me whenever I got there. I would have to work my ass off, really, to earn his trust to play me on the field, and I really think coach Woodiel is a great guy. He’s very honest and very straightforward, but he lets you know that he’s going to love you but he’s going to love you hard, and I think that’s a great trait for a coach.”
