WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
Stay tuned at 8 p.m. tonight for CaneSport Live as Gary Ferman, Matt Shodell and Bruce Warner will talk all things Miami Hurricanes with fans, and we’ll have feedback from players after today’s practice.
Shodell also shares his thoughts on where things stand with this Miami offense off Cam Ward’s first non-300 yard game Saturday night.
Also be sure to check out all the insight from yesterday with coaches Mario Cristobal, Lance Guidry and Shannon Dawson as they discussed the team after further review of the Virginia Tech game tape. We also have your key takeaways opinion article off those pressers.
In recruiting? There was the recommitment of Malachi Toney, and we had that big news for you.
Plenty of updates there.
Brunswick (Ga.) 2026 four-star ATH Heze Kent’s stock has continued to skyrocket over the last year as he’s stacked offers from top programs like Georgia, Ohio State, LSU and Alabama, and Miami has been among the teams standing out to the 6-foot-6, 245-pound prospect.
New Iberia (La.) Westgate four-star cornerback Jaboree Antoine was back in Miami for the Hurricanes matchup against Florida State. Leading up to the contest, Antoine had high expectations, and they were more than exceeded.

Venice (Fla.) four-star athlete Asharri Charles is high on the Canes following his Saturday gameday visit and time on campus Sunday. Check out what he’s saying.
Another update is with Orlando (Fla.) Jones High School three-star quarterback and Miami commit Dereon Coleman. Off a seven-TD performance he made his way down to South Florida to watch the Hurricanes take on FSU.
We also catch up with Winter Park (Fla.) four-star 2026 safety Ayden Pouncey, who has called the University of Miami his ‘dream school’ despite his deep ties to the Florida Gators. On Saturday, Pouncey took in his first Hurricanes game.
Plus we have an update with Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Bay Tech four-star 2026 interior offensive lineman Canon Pickett. He had already visited Miami once this fall but wanted to see the Canes take on a major in-state rival.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.
