WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

Stay tuned at 8 p.m. tonight for CaneSport Live as Gary Ferman, Matt Shodell and Bruce Warner will talk all things Miami Hurricanes with fans, and we’ll have feedback from players after today’s practice.

Shodell also breaks down the defensive issues that cost Miami dearly against Georgia Tech, as UM now is having issues not just stopping the pass but also the run.

And you don’t want to miss what Michael Irvin is saying off the most recent loss. He remains Miami’s biggest cheerleader and a major sideline presence, and Izubee Charles catches up with him.

In recruiting?

Don’t miss our Inside The Lines feature with Milton (Ga.) four-star quarterback commit Luke Nickel and his offensive coordinator Stevie Jackson, who has coached the Miami commit since his sophomore season.

Plus Duluth (Ga.) four-star Georgia Tech 2025 offensive line commit Damola Ajidahun attended Saturday’s game between the Yellow Jackets and Miami as a Georgia Tech recruit, and the No. 73 overall prospect and No. 10 offensive tackle had his eyes on both programs as the Hurricanes maintain communication. Did the loss affect him as it pertains to UM?

We also catch up with Harper Woods (Mi.) four-star receiver Dakota Guerrant. He may only be a 2027 prospect, but Miami has already jumped in a nationwide recruiting battle to land the No. 22 overall prospect and No. 4 receiver in the On300.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

I dunno I still wonder if next year’s QB is… Posted by Trust

already on the roster. I think people are writing off Poff too soon. Kid runs a 4.5 and can sling it. I’m not sure he is the guy, but my gut says yes. Hope he stays and competes in the Spring. Hope we keep Ajay Allen too! Fletcher, Lyle, and Allen would kill it. I’m also predicting Ray Ray shocks people next year. Everyone will be saying X is gone, who is gonna play the slot. Robbie (underrated…go back to WR) and Ray Ray need to play it. Both will do well, especially Ray Ray. Watch Reese sling it. I see Reese running way more than Cam and kill’n it. 500+ yds, 5+ TDs on the ground and another 2500+ yds, 25+ TDs in the air.

“The more and more I think about it, and now that the season has changed and the playoff system has changed, maybe this setback sometimes becomes a good setup.”
