In recruiting? We analyze the new On3 rankings as it pertains to Miami commits and targets, and we also have some individual updates for you.

Cecilia (La.) four-star athlete Braylon Calais earned an offer from the Miami Hurricanes in the summer after a standout performance at Legends Camp, and this week the top-70 prospect in the 2027 class will be making his return to Miami to watch the Hurricanes against Wake Forest this Saturday. Get his thoughts.

We also catch up with Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School top-50 2026 prospect Simeon Caldwell. He has already earned significant attention from schools like Ohio State, Florida, Florida State, Penn State, Tennessee and Texas A&M, and Miami is as strong a contender as any school early on.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Miami a big favorite vs. Wake Forest … Posted by The High

Can’t wait for this Saturday at Hard Rock, excited to see Damari Brown, Elijah Alston and Raul Aguirre back in the mix and tweaks to D including Bain to the inside and Mesidor to the outside… expect a more complete outing on both sides. Some intriguing games, like Kansas to upset Colorado and UF to upset Ole Miss and UVA is a different team at home…

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“We got great work, got great healing time as well for guys nicked up. Hopefully we’ll get the guys that were injured (including Damari Brown, Elijah Alston, Raul Aguirre), hopefully get them back this week, if not the week after that. It’s going to be close, they’re practicing well. But overall it’s a matter of communication, alignment, assignment and execution. Had to get on a couple of things that really hurt us in our last game that we feel really good about going into this game. … It’s been a really good week.”
