WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

We have your updated transfer portal tracker, as we’re keeping tabs on all the doings for the Miami Hurricanes in the portal. And we are bringing you updates on every portal target as they happen, including analysis of what they can bring to the team.

There also was our inside look at what is going on with WR Isaiah Horton going into the transfer portal.

In recruiting?

Tampa (Fla.) Armwood four-star 2025 linebacker Kellen Wiley was one of the top remaining uncommitted linebackers heading into National Signing Day and wasn’t totally sure where he would end up less than 24 hours before the start of the Early Signing Period. But after a good night’s sleep and some prayer, Wiley knew he wanted to play at Miami. We catch up with him after he visited Miami this past weekend.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Transfer portal thought … Posted by Peerless1616

The amount of wasted resources is what amazes me. The time, money and energy that it takes to recruit just one player is crazy. Having to do all of this extra recruiting must be discouraging and I can’t believe there are still enough coaches to go around.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

Kellen Wiley Miami Hurricanes

“The night before signing day I just prayed, and I woke up and wanted to be a Cane. (Miami’s staff) didn’t know (I was committing to The U), they were watching it live. When I signed they called me and everybody celebrated. It was great. It was crazy. They called me with like 50 people in the room and they were all celebrating. It felt good.”
