MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Off USF game … Posted by vivijane

1- i thought it was really good we got into a game , tuff environment , got punched in the mouth and we responded…… we played probably the worst half of football this year and put up 21 points…

2- i did not like our game plan in the 1st half , felt both Coordinators played it SAFE , left some plays out there especially defensively , i felt we gave them way too much respect…..
Conversely in 2nd half i think both Coordinators went for IT……especially Guidry …..i thought he got up played a lot press man moved Harris into linebacker mixed fronts , mugged the “A” Gap collapsed the pocket while containing the QB….

3- i know we here a lot about how bad a coach Mario is , i understand he has his limitations on Gameday BUT let me tell “U” what Mario is great at…….Mario has a great ABILITY to get his team to play hard every play….as a coach you cannot coach EFFORT , you can tell your kids about it , you can show examples of great effort plays but as a coach it is very difficult to maintain…..
Mario’s teams play w/ outstanding EFFORT …..i thought last nite was a great display of what his teams will look like …….credit to him , his staff and the kids……..

4- i am very disappointed in our Special Teams and our penalties 11 for 113 …….Not acceptable….c
onversely i think 4 or 5 of them were on our Special Teams which is even more unacceptable….
Remember you do not have to win the game on STs but DO NOT LOSE it…….everytime we go back on STs i hold my breath because we have a penalty…..Out of Control…….this needs to be re-evaluated right now OR it will cost us a Game…..

5 – Players that are really starting to Develop , Taking the Next Step and or Flashing

1- Po Po Aguirre… this kid is instinctive and plays w/ a chip on his shoulder…..
2- Matt McCoy…. really starting to stack some games…
3-Isaiah Horton….forget about his ability look at his Confidence
4-Ajay Allen …..great curve ball off the bench, nice changeup….
5-Jaden Harris …..plays reckless the Good is really really good and it out weighs the bad.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

Mario Cristobal

“The mindset is we have no other care or concern except the University of Miami, getting better, working our butts off, showing up on game day the very best we can be. We have a lot to prove and we know it, so we’re going to stay mad and keep working.”
