WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

With Miami Hurricanes spring practice not too far off, today we are taking a closer look at the biggest question facing the team on the defensive side of the ball once drills kick off. That question? Find out that and our reason why … with an analysis.

In recruiting?

Red Oak (Tx.) 2026 receiver Brayden Robinson earned his Miami offer in mid-January and now has set up his UM OV. Find out where things stand there.

Also setting Cane OVs? Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill 2026 EDGE Katrell Webb and Orlando (Fla.) Boone 2026 offensive line Rhys Woodrow. Both have Miami high on their lists so you’ll want to check out what they’re saying.

Another update: Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic four-star 2026 defensive lineman Jermaine Kinsler received around half-a-dozen in-person visits from programs last month like Miami, Texas A&M, Washington and Michigan, among others, and visited several more programs. As he continues considering his options, he’s keeping Miami very much in his picture.

Plus we talk with Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna three-star Jasen Lopez. He had a breakout junior year for the Lions, hauling in 87 receptions for 1,300 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. That has caught the attention of the Hurricanes, who are a top program for the local pass catcher.

We also catch up with Nashville (Tenn.) Donelson Christian Academy four-star 2026 tight end Carson Sneed. He has remained committed to Tennessee since last August, but things have picked up between Miami and the 6-foot-5.5, 235-pound prospect over the last month and he’s planning an OV to UM.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Where Miami stands … posted by MikePCane

Miami is in a similar position to last year: they need to add in a few places. I agree last year cannot be considered an on field success bc they didn’t make the playoffs but they were far and away the most watched team in ACC and they were a relevant national story. THAT’s what matters to long term viability in this conf and in whatever happens in the future. EYEBALLS.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Coach Cristobal is bringing The U back to how it use to be and I’m interested in being a part of it. I loved how our conversation went at my high school also. We talked about how I would fit at Miami and what the have to offer. And also my brother goes there so I’ll get to spend time with him.”
