WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

From over the weekend there was your coverage of the basketball and baseball teams to check out.

We also take a look at two position groups on the defensive side of the ball with The CaneSport On3: DT, DB pose pressing questions for Miami Hurricanes defense this spring. Then there is the most pressing issues for Miami on offense and defense heading into the spring. Make sure to check that out

In recruiting, we catch up with Snellville (Ga.) Parkview four-star interior offensive lineman Cortez Smith, who visited Miami on Jan. 27 for the Hurricanes’ junior day, and he feels Miami will have a strong chance to receive one of his official visits. Miami also is well positioned to receive official visit from 5-star WR Jaime Ffrench, so you don’t want to miss that news.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

The BB team has forgotten how to win … Posted by Dr Mike

That was a tough game. Lost at home to a 4 ACC wins team. A terrible defensive effort. How many times did we leave # 13 wide open on the left corner allowing him to hit wide open threes. Then on offense it was ridiculous. With almost 10 minutes into the second half scoring all of 6 points. Then at crunch time with the full court press working, get a turnover and royally blow the open break kicking the ball out of bounds. That was the game right there. Talk about the roof caving in. This team might not win another game. On the positive side a good crowd at the Watsco which deserved better than this half culo effort.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

I love their coaching style because coaches like (offensive line) coach (Alex) Mirabel, (head) coach (Mario) Cristobal and (co-defensive line coach) Joe (Salave’a)really try to show by example themselves and just really make you want to get better. They are just great coaches overall and seeing the types of not only players but offensive lineman just makes me see them as great developers.”
