WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

We continue our annual 30 for 30 countdown with the team’s top 30 players who played 30 or more reps. Check out our latest player on the countdown: No. 5 Akheem Mesidor.

With Carson Beck leading Miami’s offense in 2025, we take a look at why the Canes offense may not need a dominant No. 1 WR to find success.

On the hardwood, we check in with Miami signee Putnam Science Academy (CT) four-star C Ben Ahmed, who talks about the Canes and where things stand in his recruitment.

In football recruiting, we take a look at how some of Miami’s top targets and commits performed during the first few weeks of the 7-on-7 circuit, so make sure to check that out.

We also have updates on Jonesboro (Ga.) four-star 2026 cornerback and Georgia commit Jontavius Wyman, who has locked in an official visit with Miami, as well as Visalia (Calif.) Redwood four-star 2026 tight end Israel Briggs, who has the Canes high on his board heading into the spring.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

First time at Hard Rock… by Matahungwa

Hey all. My wife surprised me with season tickets for this year. I was a student and had season tickets when I was able to fly down for most games when I was living in NYC< but I sadly have not been back since the OB was torn down. I was hoping for advice as far as parking, I am a CAT 2 Level Donor, and just things that are good to know about Hard Rock. TIA

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“The interaction (when Cristobal dropped by Jonesboro last month) was good,” Wyman said. “I mean, it felt great having him at the school. He was telling me and my mom that Miami would be a good fit for me. He was telling me how big (of a deal) I am to their program and to him. The defensive coordinator was letting me know I’d fit in well in his system, how I could come in and they expect me to play early. He was just letting me know The U is a great fit for me.”
