WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

We have an interesting feature breaking down the last five years for UM in real numbers … ie national stats. We compare them to the ACC’s perceived two best teams this year over the same span and see if Miami is trending up, down or treading water as time moved forward in that span. The results might surprise you.

There’s also a look at a former Cane in the Super Bowl … Jon Feliciano. Pn Sunday evening he will be living out his dream.

In recruiting we had a couple of new prediction entered into the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. The first was at 70% confidence in favor of Miami to land Miami (Fla.) Central four-star 2025 defensive lineman Randy Adirika. The other was a 65 percent confidence pick of American Heritage (Fla.) four-star running back Byron Louis to Miami. Find out the reasoning behind that.

You also don’t want to miss our latest Inside The Lines installment with Lafayette (La.) Acadiana High School three-star wide receiver Russell Babineaux, who got an offer from Mario Cristobal.

And Opelousas (La.) High School RB D’Shaun Ford is planning a spring visit and has Miami in his top four, so make sure you check out the update with him.

Plus we catch up with Naples (Fla.) First Baptist Academy 2026 receiver Jayden Petit. His recruitment is just getting off the ground, but the 6-foot-4, 196-pound wideout is keeping Miami on his radar as the offers continue rolling in.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up, including a basketball availability with coach Jim Larranaga and players later this afternoon.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Only 2 on field coaches remain from Mario’s original staff … Posted by Billyboi99

The line coaches, Mirabal & Big Joe. Can’t say I’m surprised…..Not just Miami but college football has a MAJOR coaching issue. Quality coaches don’t wanna put up with NIL & some of the bs recruiting. Luckily Mario bleeds recruiting

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“It was an amazing experience, and the culture and scenery is not like it is out here. I want to get back out there, and I will soon, for sure. I felt welcomed over there. The coaches were amazing, the facilities were something I’ve never seen before, and just being around that environment is something that you don’t see every day.”
