WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

We are taking a look off the first week of spring at some areas where the football team may still need to shore things up in the second tranfer portal window. Don’t miss that analysis.

In recruiting?

We catch up with Clemson West Boca four-star running back Javian Mallory, as Clemson moved the needle in a major way for him during his Saturday visit to the Tigers’ campus. So where do the Canes stand now?

We also have an update with Miami (Fla.) Southridge three-star interior offensive lineman Ryan Miret. His recruitment has picked up since the start of the new year and the Hurricanes have maintained a consistent presence.

And the Hurricanes have captured the eye of five-star cornerback and No. 17 overall prospect Jorden Edmonds, the No. 2 cornerback in the On3 Industry Ranking. Find out about that.

Plus Leakesville (Miss.) Greene County top-30 2026 receiver Jase Mathews has had plenty of contact with Miami’s staff over the last month and a half and locked an official visit with the Hurricanes June 20. But before his summer trip, the No. 26 overall prospect and No. 3 receiver in next year’s cycle plans to swing by Coral Gables April 12 for a practice visit.

There also was your baseball recap from last night’s matchup at UCF.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

“My main relationship has been with coach Will Harris because he came from Florida. That was my guy over there,” Edmonds said. “So him coming over to Miami, I feel like it’s only right to keep my relationship going with him.”
