First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
We continue our Message Board Mania series, this time with CaneSport posters weighing in on what it will take for Miami to be a playoff team. It’s not just one thing. So check that out, including our perspective of it all.
In recruiting there’s Stephen Wagner and Izubee Charles with their Inside Canes Recruiting podcast from yesterday afternoon.
And yesterday evening, of course, we had you fully covered with a new commitment Kenton Dopson coming on board, including an analysis of his play and his coach’s take. We were live from his announcement and also have the inside story on why he picked Miami.

We also catch up with DeSoto (Tx.) four-star 2026 receiver Ethan “Boobie” Feaster. He’s became one of the biggest names to reclassify this spring when he decided to make the jump from the 2027 cycle to 2026. And with official visits now locked in, Miami is among programs standing out – he has his OV set to UM the last weekend of May.
Another update: The 2027 class may be more than a year away, but Miami is already setting its sights on one of the top tight ends in next year’s cycle. That’s Luke Brewer. Get the latest there.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
QB situation after Beck? … Posted by Chasmish
Nickel may be really good, but QB is so hard to play in this day and age and until Luke stands the test of Fire, we don’t know. Look what happen to Williams in bowl game. Was stunned about how poor he played.
MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“I like the culture, for sure. They have like a real family culture. They’re all really cool. I like the coaching staff. … I talk to the receivers coach a good amount of the time. They’re good people. They want what’s best for the kids, so I really love their coaching staff. That was really the main thing.”
