WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
With Pro Day coming up Monday, today we have a closer look at Cam Ward’s preparation as he looks to become the No. 1 pick … with perspective from his trainer, Darrell Colbert. So don’t miss that.
Of course, yesterday was Miami’s fifth spring practice and we had you fully covered. There was video of the day’s work, a photo gallery, news and notes from the practice field and post-practice updates with several coaches. So don’t miss all that coverage.
In recruiting? You can check out our Inside Canes Recruiting podcast above, breaking things down after some key visits.
We also have updates on the site with a couple of key visitors yesterday, catching up with Jonesboro (Ga.) four-star 2026 safety Cortez Redding and Jonesboro (Ga.) 2026 four-star Georgia cornerback commit Jontavius Wyman. Don’t miss their thoughts.

Also, over the past three days, St. Augustine (FL) four-star wide receiver Somourian Wingo has spent time in Coral Gables with the Miami Hurricanes. That time in South Florida left a lasting impression on the 2026 pass catcher. We have that for you.
There’s a hoops portal update, too. Earlier this week, former Indiana signee and shooting guard Harun Zrno decommitted from the Hoosiers, and new Miami Hurricanes head coach Jai Lucas wasted no time getting in contact with the 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Bosnia.
And there’s your recap of last night’s baseball series opener vs. FSU, with the Seminoles hitting six homers in a run-rule 14-1 win over UM.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
Carson Beck’s confidence … Posted by Old Cane
Beck’s confidence was shaken last year at Georgia and the fan base turned on him. He went from darling to bum. Hard for a 20 yr old to handle. Leaving Georgia was his decision!
The ND game is a perfect opening game (remember FL last yr) for us. The team will be healthy and the crowd will be jacked. If the Canes stay focused, play error free football, we can win the game and give Beck a shot of confidence that he needs to regain his old form!
MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“He loves the staff and the guys in the building. We will be finishing up a workout; he’ll get in the sauna, and I’ll walk in, and he’s on the phone with somebody who’s in the building. He loves Miami and his time there, and he’s looking forward to being back out there for Pro Day.”
