WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
Well, there are the big upcoming Sweet 16 basketball games for the men’s and women’s teams today. We have Gary Ferman’s big picture column heading into it this morning, and the legendary Dick Vitale also shares his thoughts on Miami vs. Houston with CaneSport.
Plus yesterday the football team resumed practice. We had your video and practice notes, plus interviews with Mario Cristobal and players. So be sure to check out all that content.
Then there was plenty of recruiting news.
It started with our look at some of the top talent that will be on campus this weekend and Miami’s objective with those players.
Then there were some closer looks at individual players.
That includes 2024 four-star priority quarterback Air Noland, the No. 45 prospect in the On300 and No. 4 quarterback in the 2024 class. He is planning on taking an official visit to Miami after an impressive first day of his unofficial two-day visit Thursday. So don’t miss the insight on that.
Plus Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep 2024 four-star safety Zaquan Patterson’s interest in Miami is continuing to steadily rise as this year’s recruiting cycle continues, and he was on campus yesterday as well and updates where things stand.
Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star running back Stacy Gage visited the University of Miami as well on Thursday morning for an unofficial visit and left Coral Gables more impressed than he ever has before.

Modesto (Calif.) Central Catholic 2024 four-star offensive tackle Manasse Itete, the No. 19 offensive tackle in the 2024 class, has Miami high on his radar. This weekend, the Hurricanes will look to climb even higher. Yes, he’s visiting.
Another visitor this weekend? Tampa (Fla.) Catholic 2024 four-star interior offensive lineman Eddy Pierre-Louis. The Hurricanes will look to shore up their status with the 6-foot-3, 335-pound prospect during his time on campus.
Also in baseball we had an update with pitcher Alejandro Torres, who is off to a strong start for the team he grew up dreaming of representing, the Miami Hurricanes.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.
