WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

Of course, yesterday was Miami’s eighth spring practice and we had you fully covered. There was video of the day’s work, a photo gallery, news and notes from the practice field and post-practice updates with the team. So don’t miss all that coverage.

In recruiting? Don’t miss our look ahead to a huge visit weekend on campus … with who is expected and where they stand. Also hear from a couple of of those top ranked visitors – IMG Academy consensus top-100 EDGE Jake Kreul and Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star offensive tackle Keenyi Pepe.

We have some more individual updates for you as well:

Charles W. Flanagan (Fla.) four-star wide receiver Jacob Thomas always hoped for a Miami offer, and he got it after a weekend visit. Find out where things stand now.

Plus Milton (Ga.) On300 2027 tight end Grant Haviland knews plenty about Miami after the Hurricanes signed Milton graduate Luke Nickel in the 2025 cycle and extended an offer this winter, but he took a far deeper look into the Canes’ program on his second visit to South Florida. Find out about that.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

On Carson Beck … Posted by TIV

“Carson is a cool dude, he doesn’t talk a lot but I talk to him,” Trader said. “He’s getting around the team well. I watch film with him even though he’s not outside throwing. He’s getting along well.”

That’s what JoJo had to say about Beck. You don’t go 24-3 in the SEC by not being a leader. He may not be as vocal as Cam. But Cam is the best leader we’ve ever had. Ever.

You have to back up words with action. As a backup he won two nattys at UGA. So this kid certainly knows what it takes to win big.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“He’s really reshaped his body, which has been good. This is his first spring ball (he’s been healthy). That’s huge for him in his development. He’s trying to take a lot of steps in the leadership part, which he has.”
