WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
We have your five takeaways off spring practice on the defensive side of the ball, with analysis. So don’t miss that.
In recruiting we also have more updates for you. And it starts with our analysis with the Hurricanes currently have the fourth-highest blue-chip ratio, with 78 percent of their 2026 class being four-star prospects or higher.
Then there are our individual updates.
We catch up with Miami (Fla.) Norland four-star cornerback and No. 18 overall prospect Kenton Dopson, a Miami commit who was on campus last weekend for the spring game and share his thoughts.
Last week the Miami Hurricanes also hosted Clayton (N.C.) top-100 defensive lineman Keshawn Stancil for an unofficial visit. His time in Coral Gables reminded him why the Canes have remained a top school throughout his recruitment.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
We need multiple portal safeties … Posted by Bradcane
At this point, I think we need to take 1 developmental safety, 1 free agent, and maybe even a 3rd safety. I think we need to have 3 safeties we feel comfortable rotating on an every game basis and then a 4th who hopefully can come along as the season progresses in case a starter is injured
MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“I feel great about (the decision to commit). I mean, there’s no regrets. That’s been something I wanted to do. I’ve been a lifelong fan since I was a kid. They show love. They show the most love out of everybody. Right here, it isn’t too far from family.”
