WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

The Miami Hurricanes are in the market for a running back during this spring transfer portal window. On Monday, head coach Mario Cristobal and his staff will host one of the FCS’s top ball carriers: former North Dakota State RB CharMar Brown. Check out what he had to say before visiting the Canes.

Later this week, the NFL Draft is set to take place, and we could see up to eight Hurricanes selected over the three-day event. We take a look at what could be Miami’s most successful draft class since 2001.

In recruiting, we catch up with Fort Myers (Fla.) three-star offensive tackle and Miami commit Joel Ervin, who has a handful of SEC programs pushing for him but remains solid in his pledge to the Canes. Another in-state offensive lineman the Hurricanes are targeting is Tampa Bay Tech (Tampa, Fla.) three-star 2026 interior offensive lineman Canon Pickett. He shares his thoughts on Miami and why the Canes continue to be a top contender in his recruitment.

We also break down the 10 most wanted prospects for Miami in the 2026 class and assess where the Hurricanes currently stand with each of them.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“I’m fully locked in,” Ervin told CaneSport. “I’m shut down. I’m not really considering any other schools. Honestly, my response is just being respectful to them and telling them I’m just being respectful to the school. I’m staying loyal. I don’t really respond much. I would just be respectful to them, still show the coaches respect, but I tell them I’m comfortable with my decision.”
