WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

Of course, yesterday was Miami’s 11th spring practice and we had you fully covered. There were news and notes from the practice field and post-practice updates with the team, including coach Mario Cristobal, as the first scrimmage will be Saturday. So don’t miss all that coverage.

In recruiting? Our coverage starts with your updated Inside Canes Recruiting Podcast touching on where things stand and a new commit coming on board. We also have an analysis of where things go now with OL recruiting, since there are 3 on board. Yes, more are expected to come on the line.

We also catch up with Sacramento (Calif.) Archbishop Riordan four-star 2026 interior offensive lineman Tommy Tofi. He hadn’t visited Miami before Saturday, but after visiting Coral Gables this weekend, the No. 153 overall prospect and No. 10 interior offensive lineman is glad he made the trip.

Of course there also was basketball portal news, with a Michigan transfer coming on board. So don’t miss that.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Spring practice is most likely like shock therapy for him right now … just can’t compare the SPEED of D1 ball to high school. If he is one of those 25% of HS QB’s who can adjust to the speed of D1 ball … he could be a much improved player during Fall practice.

“Probably a little bit ahead of schedule. I know everybody would like to see him throw it, really wing it out there. Everything is ahead of schedule and we’re excited about his process, be around his level of football IQ, the way he understands the game. There’s a natural presence about him.”
