WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

The Miami Hurricanes return to the practice field today to start the final week of spring drills, and CaneSport will have you fully covered with our notes off watching the work and post-practice comments from the team off Saturday’s scrimmage. So stay tuned for that.

Be sure to check out Gary Ferman’s Q&A as well, as he answers all your questions entering the final week of drills.

To hold you over till today’s practice?

Well, this morning the Miami Hurricanes will host one of their top flip targets in the 2026 cycle: Miami (Fla.) Northwestern four-star safety Tedarius Hughes. We catch up with him heading into the visit.

We also have an inside look at why Jonesboro (Ga.) four-star 2026 cornerback Jontavius Wyman flipped to Miami recently, and a closer look at what it all means for the Canes.

We catch up with Rogers (Ark.) On300 ATH Braxton Lindsey as well. He already had a top three of BYU, Oklahoma and Arkansas in no particular order. But after landing a Miami offer, he now has a top four.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

Miami LB offer Braxton Lindsey
Braxton Lindsey

“What coach (Hetherman) and coach Holinka did at Minnesota last year, they were a top-four defense in the nation. And then to go to Miami, everything about it, the brand of it, the area, obviously I know they’re going to have success on the defensive side of the ball because of what they did at Minnesota. They’ll definitely be up there for sure.”
