In recruiting?

Plenty more news.

It starts with our latest Inside The Lines feature – that’s with Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage 2025 four-star running back Byron Louis. Be sure to check that out.

We also catch up with Toms River (N.J.) Toms River North four-star offensive tackle Jaelyne Matthews. He already has official visits set to Miami, Georgia and Tennessee this summer, and shares where things stand.

Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley four-star 2026 quarterback Faizon Brandon is the No. 1 quarterback in next year’s recruiting cycle … and he weighs in after picking up a Miami offer.

Another QB we are monitoring is Argyle (Tx.) Liberty Christian three-star 2026 quarterback Quinn Murphy. Miami is chasing him, and he shares his thoughts.

Another update: The race for Sanford (Fla.) Seminole top-100 offensive lineman Max Buchanan is tight as college coaches continue pouring into his high school to check up on the 6-foot-4, 279-pound prospect, and Miami is well in the mix ahead of an expected in-school visit this week.

Once he did, the two sides wasted no time in locking in an official visit.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

So are we done with transfers coming into Miami and leaving the program? … Posted by gcanefan52

Moving forward I think transfers will probably be depth pieces in places of need, unless there is a big whale out their in a position of need. Injuries happen so you have to make sure the players are there. I believe this year Mario went all in when Cam signed, he said this is the year we need to go for it, and set out to put the pieces in place with transfers.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“At the end of the day, it’s home. Why not put on for your city? Miami is definitely one of the best running schools. Coach Cristobal enhanced that offensive line tremendously. Coach Cristobal is bringing Miami back, and I do see them as a top contender this year.”
