WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
There was the signing announced from FSU hoops transfer Matthew Cleveland, a huge addition for the Miami program. We had an inside story with Cleveland on his decision, plus what he brings to the table for Jim Larranaga and the program.
It also was a busy visit weekend for Mario Cristobal & Co. with transfer portal / JUCO / top high school prospects on campus. So don’t miss our stories coming out of that and where things stand now.
Then we continue our Miami Hurricanes 50-1 countdown series with No. 46 Jaden Harris, No. 47 Ahmad Moten and No. 48 Kaleb Spencer. Find out why they are ranked there and what they can do to be ranked higher.
We also analyze five different Miami players that have increasing expectations for 2023 and why that’s the case. There’s also a feature on the NFL Draft and the four states that overwhelmingly produced top-end NFL draft picks over the last five years. We look at how Miami is recruiting those states. And sticking with the NFL Draft we take a closer look at some QBs that are already being projected in the first round for next year’s draft. Is Tyler Van Dyke a forgotten man?
Of course there’s also plenty of recruiting news.
First up is an interesting item we did about IMG Academy, which was recently sold. We catch up with the coach there for his thoughts, and Miami certainly needs to keep that pipeline going after grabbing talent out of the program this past cycle.

Also on the site: The Hurricanes landed Miami Central defensive end Rueben Bain during the 2023 recruiting cycle, who is expected to be a major contributor for the ‘Canes in year one, and they have now turned their attention to another elite defensive lineman from the program in 2024 four-star DL T.A. Cunningham. Cunningham shares his take.
Also read our update with River Ridge (La.) John Curtis’ four-star wideout, Michael Turner. He is ready to place the Miami Hurricanes at the top of his list after getting an offer from them recently.
We also catch up with Fairfield (Calif.) 2024 four-star defensive lineman Jericho Johnson. The On300 prospect is starting to appreciate the Hurricanes’ recruiting effort after defensive line coach Joe Salave’a checked up on him at his school.
Plus there were your updates from the No. 11 ranked baseball team’s series vs. Presbyterian you can check out.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

TWEETS OF THE DAY
MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
My top 5 Miami Hurricanes games of all time … Posted by SouthCane1
1983 Nebraska: Great game. Bless Ken Calhoun and Bernie.
1987 FSU: Evenly matched teams at their place and Michael Irvin going off. I always thought this FSU team was their best of the 80s and early 90s.
1989 Notre Dame: 3rd and 43, Bernard Clark, and the OB rocking.
1998 UCLA: Similar feeling to Neb in 83 because we shouldn’t have won this game on paper. Team was juiced and UCLA actually played a good game. Two teams going in two different directions after this.
2000 FSU: Great game. Extremely hot day in Miami. Brutal. Dorsey to Shockey. Dan Morgan and Ed Reed on D, man 2000’s team was loaded.
Bonus:
2017 Notre Dame: That old Miami energy was back in Dolphins Stadium this time. ND was shook and looked slow. If only we could’ve piggy backed on the momentum.
