WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

There’s plenty of recruiting news.

We had a takeaway off the huge official visit weekend on big picture where things stand with some of the top targets, so don’t miss that.

We also have your coach’s take of new commitment Cam Pruitt, so you don’t want to miss that take on what the Canes have landed here.

Then there’s our interview with one of the longest-tenured high school football head coaches in South Florida, Miami Norland’s Daryle Heidelburg and his Vikings team made their way down to Coral Gables for a Mario Cristobal summer camp recently as the two programs looked to further their bond. So read about that.

Other big news?

How about we caught up with 5-star DL David Stone off his Miami official visit? You don’t want to miss what the IMG Academy standout is saying about UM and where things stand. So check that out.

Also, despite only starting football his freshman year of high school and sitting out the majority of his sophomore season due to transfer rules, Overland Park (Kans.) Blue Valley Northwest four-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola has drawn interest from a handful of Power 5 programs, including the Miami Hurricanes. He breaks down his interesting in UM.

Plus we continue to count down the top 50 post-spring players on the roster, a list that doesn’t include any post-spring roster additions. We have your breakdown on No. 10, LB Wesley Bissainthe.

And On3’s J.D. Pickell tackled the Miami Hurricanes looking ahead to 2023 on his Hard Count show, taking a deeper dive into what’s going on at Miami. And he says this year is about “reprogramming what people believe The U to be.” So check that out.

As always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

TWEETS OF THE DAY

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

“The coaches are really what stood out to me about the whole thing” … Posted by St. Pete Cane

Thats a quote from 5-star Ellis Robinson. When was the last time we heard 5-star players say that about our staff? And he is a Georgia commit on top of that.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“I think he’s real close to (getting on a college field). I think it’s obvious from looking at his size at 6-foot-3, 190-195 (pounds) that they would like to get him up to the 215-220 range, and I don’t think that will be an issue at all. This is a kid that plays three sports in high school (also playing basketball and running track). He’s really never trained year-round or had the nutritional program that college kids get. We all know that. I think from the knowledge of the game and the physicality of the game, I think he could do it right now. I think he’s just got to get a little bigger, a little stronger.”
