WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

There’s another Mario Cristobal camp today, and we’re expecting some top prospects to be out there so stay tuned for the feedback off of that.

To hold you over till then?

Plenty more recruiting news, including looks at upcoming major official visitors this weekend.

One of the headliners is 5-star Washington D.C. Friendship Collegiate Academy EDGE Dylan Stewart. He will be in Coral Gables this weekend for his official visit with the Miami Hurricanes, and a big reason for that is his relationship ‘Canes defensive line coach Jason Taylor. Don’t miss his thoughts.

We also catch up with another official visitor, Severn (Md.) Archbishop Spalding 2024 linebacker Keyshawn Flowers, for his take heading into his time in Coral Gables.

Plus IMG Academy defensive line prospect TJ Lindsey has Miami in mind as a potential destination as he heads to Coral Gables for his official visit this weekend. He knows what he’s looking for as he visits the Hurricanes for the second time.

A visitor on campus yesterday? That was Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna four-star safety Zaquan Patterson. He was back on Miami’s campus Wednesday afternoon for the fourth time this year, and the No. 5 safety in the 2024 class now has a likely official visit timeline. So find out what he’s saying.

Be sure to also check out a look at last weekend’s Cristobal camp too, with some notes from that in an item that was on the site yesterday afternoon.

Then there’s our latest Inside The Lines feature, this one with Riverhead (N.Y.) St. Anthony’s four-star tight end KJ Duff. Learn more about Duff and his situation.

And we continue to count down the top 50 post-spring players on the roster, a list that doesn’t include any post-spring roster additions. Today we break down No. 15, TE Cam McCormick.

As always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

TWEETS OF THE DAY

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Fair or Unfair for Gino Dimare … Posted by swaggerforlife

This is a Good Baseball Team.. But Not Great.. There are just too many Holes… Especially Pitching wise (Yes, Injuries have left us Shorthanded), but you just cannot get 2 National Seeds 2 years in a row.. One a Top 8.. the Other Just outside the Top 8.. And Blow it.. on your own home field.. Yes.. It Might be Unfair for Dimare.. In his Fifth Year.. and Short handed on the Pitching Staff.. But this is the University of Miami… And this is how a Program gets complacent.. I’ve stated before on another thread… If Dimare were a Football coach.. He’d be a Perennial 9-3 or 8-4 guy.. Is that “GOOD ENOUGH?” for our baseball program?…

Regardless of the Extension handed over by Radakovich.. There needs to be some serious consideration on the Direction of the Program in regards to Leadershp here… Now.. I am biased.. I did not like How Dimare was handed the Job by that Spineless Worm Blake James.. So I’m in the Anti Dimare Crowd..But its been awhile now since this storied program has seen Omaha.. Too Long.

FOOTNOTE: To me there are So many Parallels between what Manny Diaz Was and what Gino Dimare IS.. Not good… Dimare is a guy that after this game will be handing out Participation Trophies.. not the kinda guy we need as our Skipper
