WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning on CaneSport?

Well, we start our deep dive into the State of the U, with an overview of where the Hurricanes stand in the college football landscape.

Also not to be missed this morning is Part III of our in-depth interview with Miami Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich.

There’s also a very interesting update with top area RB recruit Mark Fletcher, who is currently an Ohio State commit but has Miami pushing hard. So is there some wiggle room for the Canes there?

Our CaneSport Player Performance Index countdown also continues with No. 25 Brashard Smith. We take a look at what he can do for UM … and what he needs to work on.

Plus, from yesterday afternoon, there was a ton of news.

We continued our UM G.O.A.T.S series with Troy Aikman discussing Jimmy Johnson … this time we’re calling it our Overtime look, with Roy Firestone delving deep into the former coach in parts I and II of those interviews.

There also was Gary Ferman’s take on the conference rumors … so read his column “The CaneSport On3: The keys to keeping things together for the ACC and Miami.”

Also yesterday p.m. we had a really intriguing look at Miami’s current talent level vs. that of Clemson. How does UM stack up position by position? And we caught up with Joenel Aguero – are the Canes right in this? And Miami Palmetto High coach Mike Manasco shares his take on the State of the U under the new coaches as our High School Scoop series continues.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Elite QBs….Need Elite OL … Posted by eddiemac66

Elite QBs absolutely REQUIRE elite OL guys around them…..

OL is the hardest area to recruit as these guys are like big St. Bernard puppies and its very difficult to project what each kid will be like in 2 to 3 years after their arrival. As I’ve written many times on CS if you have true freshmen pushing for OL playing time you have trouble.
BIG TROUBLE.

Great young QBs committed……GREAT JOB!

We.need ELITE FATTIES……..

It never ends……

QUOTE OF THE DAY

Miami, I love everything there, the city, the coaches. Coach Cristobal, my parents and him have a great relationship, both come from Spanish descent. They really clicked.
