WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

We, of course, had all your news from the team’s opening fall practice yesterday, including news and notes from the field, videos of the work and post-practice feedback from Mario Cristobal and players including Cam Ward and others. So don’t miss that as they share some great insight. And we’ll be back out again this morning for more practice news and interviews, so stay tuned for that.

Also this morning we have a great interview with second portal window arrival Simeon Barrow, so be sure to check that out. His expectations are through the roof. And check out the 2024 Miami roster, with number changes and newcomers noted.

In recruiting?

There were a couple of visitors that snuck in Miami trips yesterday ahead of the dead period and we caught up with them – find out what Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna three-star 2025 defensive tackle Donta Simpson and Newberry (Fla.) three-star defensive lineman Mykah Newton, an NC State commit, are saying.

More recruiting news: Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic 2026 four-star defensive tackle Jermaine Kinsler, the younger brother of Miami junior offensive lineman Tommy Kinsler, visited last weekend and updates where things stand with him. Another visitor was Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star 2026 safety Justice Fitzpatrick, the younger brother of Pittsburgh Steelers star safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. Get his thoughts. And we also catch up with Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith four-star wide receiver Travis Johnson, who was another top visitor on Saturday.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

Biggest Factor for success is Dawson … Posted by BATCLUBUSAOSCAR

Last year we looked putrid at times. If he can just hand the keys to the Ferrari to Ward, we should be ok. and I PRAY that he went out to the middle of the desert and took some shrooms, and figured out how to run a 2 minute offense. because if we are down a score with 2 minutes to go, we cannot huddle. gotta let Ward do it on the fly. Please tell me I’m off base here…

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY
