WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

Over the weekend we had full coverage of Saturday’s practice with reaction from players, video, news and notes so don’t miss all of that.

Also don’t miss our Inside The Lines feature with QB Emory Williams and center Zach Carpenter.

Plus we had individual CaneSport features with DT CJ Clark, CB D’yoni Hill, S Jaden Harris, DE Elijah Alston, and RB Jordan Lyle that you won’t want to miss.

In recruiting? There was, of course, the new commitment. Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep three-star 2025 defensive tackle Donta Simpson flipped from Maryland to Miami, giving the Hurricanes their 20th commitment of the year and first pledge of the month. We had that breaking news plus an analysis of what he brings to the table plus an inside look at the decision from his perspective.

We also had updates on a few late July visitors with their feedback – Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill four-star defensive lineman Duece Geralds, Naples (Fla.) First Baptist Academy four-star receiver Jayden Petit, Pensacola (Fla.) Pensacola Catholic four-star 2026 EDGE Trenton Henderson and Charlotte (N.C.) Myers Park three-star cornerback Camdin Portis, who is the son of Miami legend Clinton Portis. So don’t miss where those targets stand.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

“Our focus is to continue to develop, especially with the offense we’ve got here – it’s one of the best offenses in college football. With us having the ability to go up against them in practice, that’s making us 10 times better. Us coming in knowing that we have the talent, we’re getting better knowledge of where we need to be.”
