WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
We have plenty of team news for you. Be sure to check out all the practice news from over the weekend, including post-practice updates with players as well as in-depth takes from coordinators Shannon Dawson and Lance Guidry.
There also are plenty of CaneSport features as we catch up with several players – on the site are stories with OL Javion Cohen, QB Emory Williams, LB Marcellius Pulliam, DT Joshua Horton, an update with both Mauigoa brothers, WR Xavier Restrepo, S Kam Kinchens and WR Colbie Young. They all share their individual thoughts on their progress and how the team is looking, so be sure to check all of that out.
Then there’s also plenty of recruiting news. We have updates with Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton 2025 quarterback Luke Nickel and his teammate, 2025 four-star tight end Ryan Ghea. Also don’t miss our stories on Raburn Gap (Ga.) Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School four-star 2025 offensive lineman Justin Hasenhuetl, who picked up his Miami offer in late July, and Douglasville (Ga.) Douglas County 2026 receiver Aaron Gregory, who is highly coveted.
We also caught up with Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star Miami commit receiver Chance Robinson. He is still locked in with the Hurricanes, but Ohio State is looking to shake things up for the No. 112 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle after extending an offer during the first week of August.

Miami also is eyeing a second QB in the class, and Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna 2024 quarterback Cedrick “CJ” Bailey Jr. has caught UM’s eye.
Another update? Miami turned to its own backyard in the 2025 recruiting class by offering Miami (Fla.) Palmetto 2025 defensive tackle Davion Dixon, who committed to Notre Dame April 21 and holds more than a dozen offers, including Florida State, Florida, Penn State and Auburn. He updates where things stand.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

TWEETS OF THE DAY
MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
Some thoughts … Posted by Michstfr
1)If the new rebuilt OL stands up this team is going to be good. That simple. Van Dyke is going to have a huge year. If they can get at least a split with FSU and Clemson they can challenge for ACCCG spot.
2)Cristobal is privately very confident.. Team and staff so much further along this year and roster is better with much improved depth.
3)If they make a strong leap this year plus even better recruiting they will be ready to compete for a Playoff spot next year.
4)Need to find a parachute. ACC maybe on verge of imploding (still not sure how any school gets out of Grant of Rights but who knows) and Miami needs to have a plan.
MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY
“I love the new offense. We’re taking shots down the field, moving fast, slowing it down. It’s in the players’ hands, you know?”
