WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

Stay tuned today as we’ll have feedback upon further review of the Florida game from coaches Mario Cristobal, Shannon Dawson and Lance Guidry. You don’t want to miss their perspective off the huge win at Florida.

And, of course, we had you fully covered from Saturday’s game at The Swamp with Gary Ferman’s column, post-game interviews with Mario Cristobal and players, our position by position grading column, Pro Football Focus grades, Gary Ferman answering all your post-game questions on the message board, our game analysis story and much more including the team’s first official depth chart being released.

This morning we also have a Cam Ward analysis for you including video clips illustrating his innovation and intuition in scanning the defense and making the right play time after time. Plus we have a story detailing Ward’s big plays in the game and his feedback off the win.

We also have recruiting news for you, and it starts with our recruit reaction story off the huge win at UF. Find out what top prospects are saying about it and how it affects them. This morning there’s also an update with 5-star DJ Pickett, who Miami is trying to sway and was on hand at the game and obviously impressed by the Cane victory. And we talk with another recruit in attendance, 4-star CB J’Vari Flowers, who says the outcome of the Miami win impacted how he now views the program.

Plus there’s our Live From The Crib weekly column on Friday night from the Orlando Jones vs. Timber Creek game that included Miami commit Dereon Coleman and Florida commit Vernell Brown III, who the Canes still covet.

In hoops?

There was a new commitment over the weekend, with the Canes landing 4-star guard Matthew Able on Friday afternoon. Don’t miss his thoughts on why he chose UM and his goals.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Very Happy For Mario … Posted by 289FIA

The man gave up a fantastic job in Oregon with all sorts of financial backing to do something he personally felt very strongly about on a personal level few of us can actually relate to. He did it …. at Florida …. the narrative is beginning to change. Good job coach!!

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Miami hasn’t been here in 16 years, hasn’t won here in 20-plus years. You think this game was big? The amount of animosity, hatred, bad blood between the fan bases, think it amped it up a little bit? It was through the roof, off the charts.”
