WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
Well, it’s gameday! So stay tuned after the game for all our coverage including game analysis, postgame interviews with Mario Cristobal and players, grading each position, columns and much more.
To hold you over till then?
We have your keys to the game analysis, gameday info and game notes, plus a look at what Virginia Tech coach Brent Pry is saying heading into the game.
In recruiting we break down five Miami commits that have stood out over the last month.
We also catch up with four-star Ohio State linebacker commit Tarvos “TJ” Alford. Things are picking back up between the two sides. Might he take a Cane visit? He updates his status.
In recruiting we catch up with Newberry (Fla.) three-star defensive lineman Mykah Newton. His sudden decision to flip from NC State to Miami in mid-August came somewhat out of the blue. But after being committed to the Hurricanes for slightly over a month, the 6-foot-3, 250-pound prospect has no doubt he made the right decision.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
For years, I HATED the Hokies……LET’S GO! … Posted by dcc21
Dating back to the end of the Big East days, the Hokies were an annoying thorn in our side. They were clamoring for relevance; desperate to be viewed as on our level during our early 2000s glory days. I hated them. I hated playing them. I hated their fans. But I’ve got to give it to them. Vicks, Beamer Ball, Lane Stadium. I got respect for ’em. But man, do I love it when we beat them.
Let’s go and get our conference season started on the right foot.
