IMG 2026 CB Ksani Jiles commits to Miami
IMG Academy 2026 cornerback Ksani Jiles has committed to Miami, the 6-foot, 170-pound prospect announced on Twitter Monday evening.
Jiles, originally from Inglewood (Calif.) becomes Miami’s first commit of the 2026 class and the Hurricanes’ only commitment beyond the 2024 class. Prospects beyond 2025 are not yet ranked by On3 or the On3 Industry Ranking, but Jiles chose Miami over multiple Power Five programs including USC and LSU.
“It just felt right with how they’ve been treating me over the last two months,” Jiles said. “How they’ve been treating my mom, then she visited down there. And then the coaching staff in general, they’ve been great. Coach Cristobal, just everybody.”
Jiles said his mother’s positive attitude toward Miami played a substantial role in his decision. He told the staff he wanted to commit Saturday after his most recent visit, but he wanted to wait until Monday to formally make the announcement. He also wanted to wait until Monday so he could make the announcement on his mother’s birthday.
“Coach Cristobal was happy. Very happy,” Jiles said. “They were so happy I was committed to Miami and looking forward to me being the face of that 2026 class. I’m proud to be it.”

He said his mother couldn’t have asked for a better birthday present.
“She’s very happy,” Jiles said. “She’s been waiting for me to just blossom. After everything she’s sacrificed for me, I know today put a very big smile on her face.
Jiles couldn’t be happier to be a Hurricane, either.
“I love Miami’s program,” Jiles said. “I can’t wait to be a part of this program and just turn it around. Me being young, I’m just waiting for my time.”
CaneSport’s Take
Class of 2025 commits are a little more rare, but 2026 commits are few and far between — which should speak to the amount of interest Miami has in Jiles to take his commitment this early.
Miami pushed hard for the prospect over the last few months and will need to continue to push hard to maintain his commitment, as other top programs will undoubtedly make their own recruiting pushes over the next several years. But for now, Miami fans should have reason to be excited about the 2026 prospect, who is already on track to be one of the elite recruits in his class by the time the 2026 recruiting class rolls into the spotlight.
