University of Miami commit Milton (FL) QB Emory Williams spent the weekend in Coral Gables with several of his future teammates ahead of this Wednesday’s early national signing day.

“It was great,” Williams said. “Always great coming down here, seeing coaches. They do a great job. It’s always good – beautiful area. Amazing as always.”

The three-star prospect who is Miami’s lone quarterback commit after the de-commitment of former Miami commit four-star Jaden Rashada will be signing his national letter of intent this up coming Wednesday.

“It’ll be fun, next step in life,” Williams said. “It’s exciting.”

Williams who has been committed to the Hurricanes since June 20 said he used his time in Miami this weekend to begin building that oh-so-important bond with his future pass catchers.

“This weekend has been the most beneficial for me kind of getting to know the guys,” Williams said. “I spent a lot of time with Jackson Carver, Ray Ray (Joseph), a lot of different commits. The more I see them, the more I get to know them and the more excited everyone is.”

Along with Carver and Joseph, Williams met some of his future offensive lineman: Frankie Tinilau and Miami’s new addition to the 2023 class, five star tackle Samson Okunlola.

“Kind of getting to know those guys, all those guys – excited to hit the field with (them),” Williams said.

As far who he hopes will join the 2023 class is the coming days, he isn’t too sure but hopes anyone considering the Canes knows Miami is the place to be.

“When I see someone that has the Canes in the top 5, top 4, I’m going to recruit them,” Williams said. “Anyone who can potentially sign with Miami, that’s who I’m going after.”
