Number of NFL draftees equated to huge seasons in 2023, and while Miami has no projected 1st-rounders by ESPN it's not necessarily a bad thing

The talent gap. Those are three words that Miami fans have talked about for the better part of two decades, sometimes referring to UM vs. the nation’s top teams … and sometimes wondering how a Hurricanes team could lose to a perceived lesser opponent. In the end, the talent gap is defined by the NFL Draft, right? Because the teams with the most talent also tend to have the most drafted players. It’s why you saw Michigan with 13 players drafted after last season, Texas next on the list with 11 and Washington, FSU and Alabama with 10 apiece followed by Georgia, Oregon and Penn State with eight. Every one of those teams won 10 or more games, by the way. So how does that pertain to Miami?
