OPINION: Miami Hurricanes defense doing its part, but bigger tests lie ahead

Through four games this season, the Miami Hurricanes defense has done its part in UM outscoring opponents by an average of 52-10. Along the way Lance Guidry’s group ranks No. 10 in the nation in total defense, No. 6 in rush defense, No. 35 in passing yards allowed, 11th in scoring defense and No. 8 in third down conversion percentage defense.
