OPINION: Miami Hurricanes defense has been excellent ... but the real tests lie ahead

In yesterday’s column I pointed out how lethal this Miami Hurricanes offense is, albeit through three games without a “real” test. As we shift the focus today to what we’ve learned about Miami’s defense through three games, keep this in mind: At no point in the last 15 years we checked has both a UM offense AND defense ranked inside the nation’s top 30 for total yards in the same year.
