When Cal QB Fernando Mendoza was a 3-star prospect in the Class of 2022, the Miami Hurricanes never showed much interest or came calling with an offer. But now, with Mendoza in the portal, UM's very much in his picture. Mendoza has bigtime ties to the Canes - he played at Miami Columbus High School, which is Mario Cristobal's alma mater, and Mendoza's father was one of Cristobal's high school teammates.
