BREAKING: 2023 four-star CB Chance Rucker has signed with Michigan State

2023 Denton (TX) Ryan four-star CB Chance Rucker has signed with Michigan State. Rucker, standing at 6-foot-1, 180-pounds, originally committed to the Spartans on June 6, 2022. Rucker held additional offers from Baylor, Texas, Arkansas, Miami (FL), and more. The 2023 On3 Consensus four-star is ranked No. 393 nationally, the No. 42 cornerback, and the No. 68 player in the state of Texas.
On3 rates Rucker a three-star prospect (89.00), the No. 46 cornerback, and the No. 69 player in the state of Texas. Rucker does not hold a national rank, according to On3.
“I’m just super excited to be able to play on the collegiate level and it’s always been a long time dream,” Rucker told SpartanMag.com. “I’m just glad I can sign and start this next chapter in my life.”
Rucker briefly discussed what drew him to Michigan State during his recruitment process.
“Just the relationships I have with the coaches there,” Rucker said. “They have just been amazing people to be around and they are always calling to check in and always making sure that they know I am their guy and that they want me at their program.”

The long, 6-foot defensive back lowered his shoulder on several occasions against ball-carriers and is a sure tackler that isn’t shy about defending the run.
