BREAKING: 2023 four-star OT Stanton Ramil has signed with Michigan State

2023 Alabaster (AL) Thompson four-star OT Stanton Ramil has signed with Michigan State. Ramil, standing at 6-foot-6, 310-pounds, originally committed to the Spartans on August 1, 2022. Ramil held additional offers from Auburn, Penn State, North Carolina, Tennessee, and more. The 2023 On3 Consensus four-star is ranked No. 219 nationally, the No. 17 offensive tackle, and the No. 16 player in the state of Alabama.

On3 rates Ramil a four-star prospect (90.00), No. 297 nationally, the No. 21 offensive tackle, and the No. 17 player in the state of Alabama.

“I am excited to join the Michigan State family and work as hard as possible for my team,” Ramil told SpartanMag.com “The offensive line culture is really what separated MSU for me.”

Scouting Summary

Towering offensive tackle prospect who dominates in pass protection and consistently blows defensive linemen off the ball. Measures in at almost 6-foot-7, 310 pounds with a 6-foot-10 wingspan. Helped lead Alabama powerhouse Thompson to a state championship victory during his junior season. Naturally high pad level that will affect his ability to play with leverage. Has the hand strength and violence to displace defenders when engaged. Extremely high floor prospect who will be a staple at tackle for a collegiate program.

Stanton Ramil was the top offensive lineman for the Alabama team. Ramil held down the left tackle spot and impressed with his physicality and polish. The 6-foot-6, 310-pounder caught our eye on inside drills, showing functional athleticism in moving to the second level to block linebackers. Ramil was physical on contact and created a push once engaged with defensive linemen. We also liked what we saw from the Michigan State commit in pass protection as he looked smooth and coordinated in his pass set in facing a talented defensive line group.
