Illinois HC Bret Bielema on Michigan State: 'big fan of Coach Smith'

Illinois coach Bret Bielema sees a Michigan State team that is starting to do some of the things that brought Jonathan Smith success at Oregon State. “What you saw of him at Oregon State is what you're seeing here, especially on the offensive side of the ball. I think they're cut in line with this conference, "Bielema said. "They're very smart and they play physical. They've obviously had some issues first year, first year being together but overall, the makeup of what they want, you see it get more and more real every game.’’
