Veteran Michigan State football beat writer Paul Konyndyk takes a closer look at junior wide receiver Christian Fitzpatrick. “I’m itching to contribute and show everybody what I’ve got,” Fitzpatrick said. “It isn’t anybody’s fault, but I haven’t been on the field in a minute, and everybody has done forgot about me. I ain’t tripping, it’s definitely going to be this year, where I show everybody.” At 6-4, 220 plus, Fitzpatrick can provide Michigan State with big-bodied possession receiver. Sandwiched between proven playmakers like Keon Coleman and Tre Mosley and rising second-year wideouts, nobody is talking about guy like Fitzpatrick and Montorie Foster. Like Foster, Fitzpatrick is coming back from an injury. And that injury prevented Fitzpatrick from establishing himself as productive back-up last season. With the injury behind him, Fitzpatrick is itching to make a name for himself. Based on his performance this point in spring football, don't bet against him.
