When Michigan State played at Washington last season, the game was almost over before it started. The Spartans trailed by three touchdowns midway through the second quarter and found themselves in catch-up mode thereafter. Many outside the Michigan State program expect a similar result at Spartan Stadium on Saturday with the program reeling from the suspension of head football coach Mel Tucker. Veteran linebacker Aaron Brule is determined to his part to achieve a different result. “We know what we have in our locker room and we can compete with anybody in the country,” Brule said. “That’s what we are definitely looking to do.”
