In what was an emotional victory for Tom Izzo and his team, the Spartans will know turn their attention towards No. 3-seed Kansas State. The Wildcats were able to handle No. 6-seed Kentucky in their second round game, 75-69.
Michigan State was led by senior guard Tyson Walker’s 23 points and graduate student forward Joey Hauser’s double-double. Hauser, who transferred to Michigan State from Marquette following the 2018-19 season, finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds and his former team.
