Meet Michigan State defensive tackle Jalen Sami

One of the biggest portal transfer additions for Michigan State during the 2023 recruiting cycle, former Colorado standout Jalen Sami has generated a lot of buzz to this point in training camp. At 6-foot-6, 330, Sami is expected to help upgrade the Spartan run defense significantly. His high football IQ, smooth transition, and affable nature has helped Sami win over both teammates and coaches alike. “He is stopping that run, and he can pass-rush too," said Michigan State defensive tackle Derrick Harmon. "Don’t get it messed up, Big Sami can move, and that is kind of surprising because you don’t think that a dude that size can move like that. But he can move. He is stopping that run, and getting to that quarterback.”
