Michigan State target Jeremiah Beasley to choose between Big Ten foes Wednesday night
Michigan State’s recruiting efforts have paid off in the summer months, and the Spartans are hoping that can continue when a long-time 2024 target announces his commitment Wednesday night.
Belleville (Mich.) four-star linebacker Jeremiah Beasley will decide between Michigan State, Michigan and Missouri at Wednesday’s Sound Mind Sound Body High School 7v7 event hosted at Wayne State University. Beasley’s three finalists are among 30+ offers he’s garnered throughout his recruitment.
Michigan and Michigan State are the presumed frontrunners for the four-star talent, as they have been for the majority of his recruitment.
Michigan State appeared to take an early lead in Beasely’s recruitment. Beasley sported Michigan State gloves at games and camps throughout last fall and into the winter. Also, Beasley’s half-brother is Maliq Carr, a junior tight end for the Spartans.
Going into the spring, Beasley’s recruitment shifted quite a bit. He earned some real interest from SEC programs like Tennessee, Kentucky and Missouri. Things changed even more heading into the summer when Michigan became the presumed favorite to land the 6-foot, 210-pound linebacker.

Beasley officially visited Michigan, Michigan State and Missouri in June. His visit to East Lansing came during the weekend of June 9, when the Spartans hosted five eventual commitments. Could Beasley become the sixth?
Kenny’s take
It’s unlikely. The Spartans gave their best pitch to Beasley on his official visit, but Michigan has momentum on its side with all of its success on the 2024 recruiting trail thus far. That’s hard to overcome, especially for a defensive player like Beasley.
If Michigan State could land Beasley, it would easily be one of the biggest wins for the staff this cycle. It would be a huge in-state pickup and add an excellent prospect to the 2024 class.
The Spartans do have options outside of Beasley, though. Dylan Williams, Kris Jones and Kamar Mothudi are all four-star linebacker prospects who took official visits to East Lansing this June.
