Michigan State football: 2024 official visit tracker
Michigan State will welcome numerous official visitors over the next two weekends in what will be very important visits in closing out the 2024 recruiting class. The Spartans currently hold seven commitments, as they will look to continue to secure all seven members, and also add as much talent as possible before the early signing period begins on Dec. 20.
Official Visits: Dec. 8-10
*Four-star WR Nick Marsh, River Rouge (Mich.) High School
Ranking: No. 160 overall, No. 27 wide receiver, No. 3 in Michigan
Notable offers: Penn State, Colorado, Oregon, Michigan, Oklahoma
Status: Marsh is firmly locked in to Michigan State, cancelling visit plans to any other programs, despite interest from Colorado, Georgia Tech, Penn State, and others. The four-star receiver has put his recruiting hat on as he focuses on helping the new Spartan staff close out the remaining 2024 recruiting class.

*Three-star LB Jadyn Walker, Portage (Mich.) Northern
Ranking: No. 1233 overall, No. 115 linebacker, No. 22 in Michigan
Notable offers: Southern California, Arizona State, Toledo
Status: Walker has been firmly committed to Michigan State since September, and has told SpartanMag.com he is excited about Jonathan Smith and the new staff. A recent offer from USC could shake things up as Walker tells SpartanMag.com he is still undecided on taking an official visit to USC.
The Michigan State staff went to visit Walker during the Portage Northern basketball game on Dec. 5. USC was also in attendance. The Spartans will look to close the deal over the weekend while Walker is on campus, shutting down any talk of a trip to California.

*Three-star DB Justin Denson, Kingston (Pa.) Wyoming Seminary Upper School
Ranking: No. 792 overall, No. 84 safety, No. 19 in Pennsylvania
Notable offers: Penn State, Florida, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Alabama
Status: Denson has been committed to Michigan State since July, hosting new defensive backs coach Blue Adams for an in-home visit over the weekend of Dec. 3. The three-star defensive back is a firm commitment as of now, with no other visits currently scheduled until the Dec. 20 signing day.

Charlton: No. 1108 overall, No. 101 tackle, No. 45 in Ohio
Notable offers: Kentucky, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, Duke
Status: Both Luniewksi twins are solid to their Michigan State commitments, as they welcomed new offensive line coach Jim Michalczik for an in-home visit on Monday (Dec. 5). The twins have always wanted to play together in college, deciding on East Lansing as their next destination and are firmly locked in.

*Four-star LB Brady Pretzlaff, Gaylord (Mich.) High School
Ranking: No. 219 overall, No. 13 linebacker, No. 4 in Michigan
Notable offers: Minnesota, Illinois, Stanford, and Central Michigan
Status: Preztlaff has been committed to Minnesota since January 2023, a firm commitment to the Gophers despite being offered by the previous Michigan State staff earlier this fall. The in-state linebacker has enjoyed his early conversations with Jonathan Smith and the new staff in East Lansing, taking what will be a big official visit over the weekend.

*Three-star RB Brandon Tullis, Frsico (Tx.) Memorial
Ranking: No. 1589 overall, No. 125 running back, No. 225 in Texas
Notable offers: Kansas, California, Boston College, North Texas
Status: The current Oregon State commitment will make his first visit to Michigan State over the weekend, as new running backs coach Keith Bhonapha is expected in Frisco this afternoon (Dec.6). Tullis has been committed to the Beavers since July 2023. He plans on signing during the December signing period.

*Three-star TE Wyatt Hook, San Jose (Calif.) Homestead
Ranking: No. 1414 overall, No. 79 tight end, No. 107 in California
Notable offers: California, Oregon State, Colorado, and Washington State
Status: Hook is also still committed to the Beavers, where he has been pledged since Dec. 1, 2022. It will be the first visit to Michigan State, as the new staff and tight ends coach Brian Wozniak have a strong chance to seal the deal. Hook is another recruit who plans to sign in the early December period, so things could move quickly following the official visit.

*Three-star CB Jaylen Thompson, Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Riverdale
Ranking: No. 639 overall, No. 63 cornerback, No. 17 in Tennessee
Notable offers: Georgia, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Auburn, Michigan
Status: Thompson is the longest tenured commitment in the Spartan 2024 class, remaining firm to his Michigan State pledge as we near signing day. He will take an official visit to Virginia Tech over the weekend of Dec. 8, before returning to East Lansing the following weekend. Newly hired defensive backs coach Blue Adams was in to see Thompson and his high school teammate Keshawn Williams over the weekend.

*Three-star DB Keshawn Williams, Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Riverdale
Ranking: No. 1776 overall, No. 165 cornerback, No. 54 in Tennessee
Notable offers: Georgia Southern, Tennessee Tech
Status: The under-the-radar defensive back committed to Michigan State under interim head coach Harlon Barnett earlier this fall, as the new Spartan staff is honoring the pledge. Williams missed his junior year due to injury, bouncing back strongly as a senior, winning Tennessee region 3-6A co-athlete of the year. The three-star had many power five programs inquiring with his head coach including Alabama, Tennessee, and others prior to his commitment to Michigan State.

*Four-star RB, Anthony Carrie, Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day
Ranking: No. 357 overall, No 27 running back, No. 44 in Florida
Notable offers: South Carolina, NC State, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Georgia, Florida
Status: The highly recruited Florida running back was previously committed to Michigan State, backing off from his pledge last month. Newly hired running backs coach Keith Bhonapha made an in-home visit with the four-star, locking in the official visit for next weekend. Carrie will take an official visit to Georgia Tech over the upcoming weekend, with NC State also involved. Michigan State will have a strong opportunity to swing the momentum back in their favor, less than a week before signing day.

*Three-star DB Andrew Brinson, Tampa (Fla.) Gaither
Ranking: No 970 overall, No. 96 cornerback, No. 133 in Florida
Notable offers: Utah, Wisconsin, Purdue, West Virginia
Status: Brinson de-committed from Oregon State last month, as he was quickly offered by defensive backs coach Blue Adams following his arrival at Michigan State. Brinson has never visited East Lansing, but is very open to following his previous position coach in Adams. As of now he does not have any other visit plans scheduled as he looks to have a decision on or before Dec. 20.

Ranking: No. 713 overall, No. 45 tackle, No. 3 in Hawaii
Notable offers: Auburn, Utah, Arizona, Arizona State
Status: Young is currently committed to Oregon State, where he has been pledged since the summer. The three-star Hawaii lineman has built a strong bond with new Michigan State offensive line coach Jim Michalzcik during his recruitment. Michalzcik has kept in constant communication with Young throughout the transition to East Lansing. Young will also look to sign during the early period.
Transfer portal visitors
QB Aidan Chiles, Oregon State, Dec. 8-10
Michigan State will welcome one of the top recruits in the transfer portal over the weekend. His trip to East Lansing is his only scheduled visit so far.
The 6-foot-4, 195-pounder has spent one season in Corvallis, appearing in eight games. Chiles completed 24 passes on 35 attempts on the year, taking in a limited role behind veteran starter DJ Uiagalelei as a true freshman. He threw for 309 yards and four touchdowns with zero interceptions. Chiles also ran for 79 yards and three touchdowns.
DT Jamarius Dinkins, Kentucky, Dec. 13
Kentucky defensive lineman Jamarius Dinkins, he announced via social media on Tuesday (Dec. 5). The Columbus, Ohio, native has 19 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and one sack in 23 career games. The Michigan State trip is his lone visit scheduled as of now, as Michigan State looks to fill a need at defensive tackle.
Dinkins has announced other offers from Georgia Tech, Liberty, Boston College, Miami (OH), Memphis, Purdue, and Vanderbilt.
WR Abdur-Rahmaan Yassen, Purdue, Dec. 16
The Spartans will also welcome transfer wide receiver Abdur-Rahmaan Yassen, originally of Walled Lake (Mich.) Western High School. Yassen will visit Vanderbilt this upcoming weekend before visiting Michigan State on Dec. 16.
The former four-star recruit logged 25 catches for 329 yards in six games in 2023, as injuries have plagued his career. He has one year of eligibility remaining. Since entering the portal his offers include South Carolina, Minnesota, Mississippi State, East Carolina, Liberty, Kentucky and USF.
