Michigan State July 28 visitor list: 2024 commitments and targets

Michigan State will host the annual SpartanDawg Con event over the weekend of July 28. The event consists of gathering a large contingent of former players and their families, along with the current team and high school recruits on campus. In years past, 100s of former players made their way back to East Lansing. Spartan coaches also host recruits and their families, with previous years activities involving a scavenger hunt around campus, a barbeque, and other unique activities.
The Spartans will host nearly their entire 2024 commitment class over the weekend, along with a big target. The list could also continue to grow in the coming days.
With four more days until the event, stay tuned to the Underground Bunker message board as additions to the list continue to be added. SpartanMag.com will also have part two to this article, featuring a rundown on the underclassmen prospects in attendance.
2024 target expected
Michigan State should play host to four-star wide receiver Bredell Richardson of Tampa (FL) Carrollwood Day School on July 28 for the event. Richardson will be joined by four-star high school teammate Anthony Carrie, as the pair reconnect with Michigan State freshman DB Eddie Pleasant, also of Carrollwood Day.
It will be the first visit to East Lansing for the four-star receiver. He has been in contact with wide receivers coach Courtney Hawkins for well over a year, building a strong relationship in that time.
“Michigan State is a great school with a great foundation,” he told SpartanMag.com. “They put out quite a few receivers in the past two years. That sparks my interest, and then Coach Hawk and I’s relationship is really close. I like Coach (Mel) Tucker as a head coach and his staff loves him, so that is just something I would want to be a part of.”
“I am excited to see everything, I already know the staff, I just haven’t seen East Lansing and the campus. I know the coaches. They’re great coaches and great people. I want to see the facilities and the campus and see if East Lansing fits me.”

Despite just one visit to Michigan State, the Spartans could look to close the deal with Richardson, who tells SpartanMag.com he could see himself deciding before the season.
Richardson also included Michigan, LSU, and Oregon in his top four. Central Florida and Notre Dame have also been involved. The 6-foot, 190-pound receiver is ranked the No. 365 overall recruit, No. 60 wide receiver recruit and No. 51 recruit in Florida, per the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings.
2024 commitments attending
Michigan State will welcome nearly the entire class back to campus, for many the first time since their commitment to the Spartans. Since the start of June, the 2024 class grew from three commitments to twelve. It is always good to have your current class on campus, not only to recruit others to join them, but also to reaffirm their commitments before their senior seasons.
