Michigan State lands commitment from in-state linebacker Jadyn Walker
East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State added to its 2024 recruiting class Saturday landing a commitment from Portage (Mich.) Northern three-star linebacker Jadyn Walker, the in-state recruit announced via his Twitter account.
“Thank you to everyone at Toledo for believing in me, but evaluating my future after an incredible conversation with (Scottie Hazelton) and receiving an offer from Michigan State, I am excited to announce I will be a Spartan! GO GREEN!!!”
Walker was in East Lansing on an unofficial visit Saturday when he received the offer from Spartans’ defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Scottie Hazelton. The three-star linebacker was originally committed to Toledo.
Walker is currently rated a three-star and the No. 1424 recruit in the nation, according to the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings. He is also ranked the No. 190 wide receiver and No. 28 player in the state of Michigan.

Michigan State now holds 13 commits in its 2024 recruiting class. The Spartans’ class is ranked No. 43 in the nation, according to the 2024 On3 Industry Team Rankings.
Walker joins Dayton (Ohio) Centerville four-star safety Reggie Powers III, Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Riverdale three-star cornerback Jaylen Thompson, Providence (R.I.) La Salle Academy three-star safety Justin Denson, Tampa (Fla.) Technical three-star cornerback Camren Campbell, and Syracuse (N.Y.) Christian Brother Academy safety Syair Torrence as the sixth defensive commit.
