Michigan State added a new commitment to its 2025 recruiting class on Friday in three-star Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary’s High School offensive lineman Antonio Johnson. Johnson (6-4, 310) announced his decision via social media.

Michigan State offensive line coach Jim Michalczik offered Johnson back in December 2023, shortly after the position coach’s arrival in East Lansing. Johnson’s other offers included Penn State, Illinois and West Virginia, among others.

Johnson becomes Michigan State’s fourth 2025 commitment from St. Mary’s, joining linebacker Charles “DJ” White, tight end Jayden Savoury and athlete Bryson Williams. White, Savoury and Williams have all been committed to Michigan State since the summer of 2024. St. Mary’s running back Darrin Jones will join the Spartan program as a walk-on, too.

“Michigan State, when I go down there, it’s like it’s home,” Johnson told SpartanMag. “I’m always with my guys when I go down there. With Bryson, Jayden, and DJ committed there, those are my real brothers. We’re playing together right now. If I could keep playing with them, that would be an amazing thing.”

Johnson is the No. 1,355 recruit in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the No. 117 interior offensive lineman and No. 26 recruit from Michigan in his class. After seeing him in-person several times, I believe Johnson is one of the more underrated prospects in the class.

Johnson reshaped his body ahead of his senior season. He also played a plethora of snaps at defensive tackle for the Division II state champion Eaglets. Johnson has the frame, athleticism and strength of a plus addition on both sides of the line of scrimmage.

Michigan State now holds three 2025 commitments from offensive linemen. Johnson joins Macomb (Mich.) Dakota offensive tackle Justin Bell and California interior lineman Drew Nichols in the Spartans’ 2025 class. Michigan State now holds 16 class of 2025 commitments.
