Michigan State added to their 2025 recruiting class again on July 11, adding in-state athlete Bryson Williams as he announced his commitment via social media. He spent the weekend of June 21 in East Lansing for an official visit.

Williams is ranked the No. 847 overall recruit in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings. Williams is also ranked the No. 48 athlete in his class and the No. 17 recruit in Michigan.

He took other official visits to Pittsburgh and Kansas, along with trips to Harvard and Yale as well. Williams was also offered by Penn State, West Virginia, Minnesota, Illinois, Purdue, and more. The athlete heavily considered the Ivy route, before settling on the hometown program.

Williams (6-1, 210) will likely lineup at wide receiver for the Spartans, also holding power five offers at safety, running back, and linebacker. He was offered by the Spartans back in December of 2023, remaining a high priority for Michigan State ever since.

“I am open to everything, any position would be fine to me, as long as I am playing football,” Williams told SpartanMag.com on his positional preference. “The coaches like my size and my upside. I am only 16 (years old), so they don’t know how big I will get. They like the way I move, and also with playing multiple sports they just like my versatility and physicality.”

The receiver becomes the third Spartan commitment from Orchard Lake St. Mary’s High School, joining tight end Jayden Savoury and linebacker Charles White. He is the third receiver in the class joining Ohio native Braylon Collier, along with Texas receiver Charles Taplin. Williams is the 15th commitment in the Michigan State 2025 recruiting class.

California quarterback Leo Hannan, California offensive lineman Drew Nichols, Wisconsin tight end Emmett Bork, along with in-state running back Jace Clarizio and in-state offensive tackle Justin Bell, as they round out the class on the offensive side of the ball.

In-state linebackers Charles White and DiMari Malone, along with Florida safety George Mullins, Maryland cornerback Aydan West, and in-state defensive lineman Derrick Simmons, Ohio rush end Cal Thrush round out the class on the defensive side of the ball.
