Michigan State landed arguably its biggest commitment of the transfer portal cycle on Saturday in former Montana State offensive tackle Conner Moore. Moore, a two-time FCS All-American, announced his commitment via social media after spending two days in East Lansing for an official visit.

Moore (6-5, 310) is a native of Millbury, Ohio. He considered in-state programs Ohio State and Cincinnati before committing to the Spartans. The offensive lineman visited Cincinnati on Wednesday, and was originally scheduled to visit Ohio State on Saturday before canceling his trip to Columbus. The Spartans also survived pushes from Auburn, Missouri, Michigan, and others.

Moore earned First Team All-Big Sky honors while spending time at both guard and tackle last season. He helped Montana State reach the FCS national championship game, where it lost to North Dakota State.

Moore was also a starter for the Bobcats in 2023. He started all 12 games at left tackle and earned Freshman All-American honors that year. The rising redshirt junior has two years of eligibility remaining.

The Millsbury (Ohio) Lake High School product was the No. 1 available offensive tackle in the portal at the time of his commitment. He was also the No. 129 prospect and No. 12 tackle in the portal, per the On3 Industry Transfer Portal Rankings.

Moore represents Michigan State’s fourth portal offensive line addition, joining guard/center Matt Gulbin (Wake Forest), guard Caleb Carter (Western Carolina) and guard/center Luka Vincic (Oregon State).

At the tackle position, Moore will compete for a starting job with returning starters Stanton Ramil and Ashton LepoMichigan State will return guards Kristian PhillipsGavin Broscious and Cole Dellinger as well.
