East Lansing, Mich. Michigan State will play Indiana on Saturday without wide receiver Jaron Glover, defensive back Armorion Smith, defensive back Dillon Tatum, defensive back Chance Rucker and long snapper Kaden Schickel, per Michigan State’s weekly availability report. The Spartans listed all five players as “out.”

Michigan State listed zero players as “questionable.”

Glover will miss his first game since week four of the season. Glover missed the Spartans’ third game against Prairie View A&M and fourth game against Boston College before returning for week five against Ohio State. The Spartans will continue to rely on Montorie Foster, Nick Marsh, Aziah Johnson and Alante Brown – who recently returned from injury – at wide receiver with Glover out.

Michigan State officially listed Schickel as out for the season. Schickel became injured last week against Michigan while attempting to make a tackle on kickoff coverage. Sophomore Jack Carson Wentz will take over long snapping duties for the Spartans.

Smith will miss his first game since the season-opener against Florida Atlantic. Michigan State’s starting secondary remains intact, with Malik Spencer and Nikai Martinez at the safety spots, Ed Woods and Charles Brantley at the cornerback spots and Angelo Grose at nickel. With safeties Tatum, Smith and Khalil Majeed out, however, freshman Justin Denson is the likely candidate to fill in for Spencer or Martinez, if needed.
